dw_guestfest is now open for sign-ups!

Schedule:

* Leaving prompts - From 23rd Jan 2016 (until posting begins).
* Sign-ups/prompt-claiming - from 28th Jan 2016 (until ficathon closes).
* ficathon opens for posting - Sat 27th Feb 2016
* Ficathon closes - Sun 27th March 2016

How to sign up
(Sign-ups close Sat 26th March. You can also still leave prompts until posting begins, whether or not you wish to sign up.)

1. Choose a date from the below list. Try to choose an empty date if you can, so we get a good spread across the month (but it's absolutely fine for two or three people to claim the same date if that's the one that works).

2. If you would like to write from a prompt, choose one from the Prompt Post. Only one claim per prompt, please. You do not have to claim a prompt to play.

3. Comment to this post with your date, username (for wherever you're planning to post the fic), the prompt you've chosen and/or the minor character(s) you're going to focus on.

4. Congratulations! You're signed up!

You can sign up for up to two characters/prompts - simply choose a second date/prompt etc., and repeat the process. (If you would like to write more as the fest continues, you can claim a third after you have posted your first fic. & so on.)

Posting
(Posting: Sat 27th Feb - Sun 27th March 2016)

You must either post the fic (under a cut) to the comm, or link back to it from wherever you choose to post it. There is also a collection on AO3, so do please add your fic to that if you post there.

Min. word count 500 words. (No maximum). It's a low pressure fest, but please ensure your fics are correctly formatted and spell-checked before posting. (Having a beta is a good idea, if you can.)

You are welcome to use your fic to double up for another challenge (e.g. bingos, prompt tables etc.), but do check that's okay with the other challenge's rules.

You MUST use a heading with rating, word count, any relevant warnings and all fics must be under a cut if posted directly to the comm.

You will need to join the comm to post. (If you're not on LJ, please contact the mod to arrange to make the link post to the comm for you. See below.)

Please post on the date claimed or let the mod know if you won't be able to manage it. (Don't worry - rearranging a date shouldn't be a problem and there's no penalty for having to drop out. Real life eats us all at times.)

I will post a masterlist once the fest is over.

There's non-LJ contact info and a FAQ at the Introduction & Info post (so, if you can't comment/post on LJ, you can sign up via a Dreawmidth PM/Tumblr ask; you can also link to your story for the mod when your posting date comes around & the mod will post here for you).
