• Sign-ups/prompt-claiming - Sat 17 Mar 2018 (until ficathon closes).
  
• Ficathon opens for posting - Sat 14 Apr 2018
  
• Ficathon closes - Sat 12 May 2018
  

How to sign up
(Sign-ups open Sat 17 Mar 2018 - Fri 13th April)

1. Choose a date from the below list. Try to go for empty dates, if you can, so we get a good spread across the month, but two or three people can claim the same date.
   
2. If you would like to write from a prompt, choose one from the Prompt Post. (Only one claim per prompt if possible, please). You do not have to claim a prompt to play.
   
3. Comment to this post with your date, username (for wherever you're planning to post the fic), the prompt you've chosen and/or the minor character(s) you're going to be focusing on.
   
4. Congratulations! You're signed up!
   

You can sign up for up to two fics initially - simply choose a second date/prompt etc., and repeat the process. (If you would like to write even more, you can claim a third once you have posted your first fic & so on.)



Posting
(Posting: Sat 14th April – Sat 12th May)

• You must either post the fic (under a cut) to the comm, or link back to it from wherever you choose to post it. (There is a collection on AO3.)
  
• Min. word count 500 words. (No maximum). It's a low pressure fest, but please do ensure your fics are correctly formatted and spell-checked, and beta-ed if needed.
  
• You are welcome to use your fic to double up for another challenge (e.g. bingos, prompt tables etc.), but do check that's okay with the other challenge's rules.
  
• You MUST use a heading with rating, word count, any relevant warnings and all fics must be under a cut if posted directly to the comm.
  
• You will need to join the comm to post. (If you're not on DW, please contact the mod to arrange to make the link post to the comm for you.)
  
• Please post on the date claimed or let the mod know if you won't be able to manage it. (Don't worry - rearranging a date shouldn't be a problem and there's no penalty for having to drop out. Real life eats us all at times.)
  

I will post a masterlist once the fest is over.

I wasn't sure about participating, but then I saw #20: Duggan, P.I., and knew I had to write it. (It's all your fault, jjpor!)

And um, I realize this is a time travel fandom, but I'm pretty sure those dates to choose from are wrong? Going by the dates listed at the top, I would like to choose April 29.

The funny thing is, I'm pretty sure I already know City of Death well enough to write this without a rewatch. But because I am a conscientious writer, I shall have to force myself to watch it again, sigh. :D

I even had to watch the commentary to make sure I took on board Julian Glover's thoughts on Scaroth! It was obviously vital. :-)

I hope you can manage to sit through it, although I know it will be a terrible slog.

Hi again! I just wanted to let you know that I won't be able to post my story on my claimed date. I just haven't had a chance to work on it and if I finish something at this point, it would just feel rushed and awful. Sorry but I have to bow out. :(
